I’m just an amateur , jack of all trades master of none ….so would be so appreciative of any help.
Parking brake light came on while driving on highway. Couple days later both rear electronic motors were stuck on rear wheels . Freed motors by powering them up and retracting caliper pistons.
Reconnected/ disconnected the PBM ( parking brake module ) harness, thinking it’s loose connection . Fiddled with Parking brake switch & the fuses test ok .
Thinking the PBM module is bad getting error codes . Using AP200 scanner .

question : can I just buy a used PBM from eBay ( prices are good ) reconnect and configure with this scanner or do I need another one . Should I get a used Vida system ( see these being sold ).
I do plan on keeping this oldie 170,000 m vehicle , maybe buying another twin lol !
The car is drivable but dinging like mad . It sure doesn’t like to have its parking brake malfunctioning.
