Coincidence or connected? 2004 xc70 wiper delay and pump stopped working
Hello,
the washer spray (front and back) on my 2004 xc70 recently stopped working. I also noticed during the same trip that front wipers now only work in continuous on position. More specifically, the front wiper timed delay and rain sensor positions no longer work, other than front wiper will cycle once and only once when i first move the stalk to one of those positions.
I almost always use the wiper delay or rain sensor feature when i use my wipers, so i’m fairly certain that the pump and the delay functions stopped working at the same time.
I have checked all the fuses to make sure they are good, and i also swapped identical relays that were working on other systems into the wiper pump relay position.
I was going to order a new washer pump, but now i’m wondering if the issue might be in the control stalk.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

google around for a wiring diagram to see if there's a common path/ground point. You can also put power to the washer pump to see if it still works. I'd be looking to see if the multi-function stalk is common to both.
