Default No start

I have been trying to diagnose my son's 2005 XC70 with no success. It started with what I thought was the temperature sensor because the temperature gage was not working and the fan would stay running while driving the car. Once I replaced that, the car wouldnt start at all. I checked for codes, and no codes. The fuel pump wasnt priming when you turned the key. I have replaced the fuel pump and PEM along with the battery. (It was 6 years old). Still will not start, it keeps cranking, even after squirting starting fluid into the intake, which is telling me its not getting spark either. I am not very familiar with these cars and was wondering if anyone else out there has experience with this issue and can point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Did it start with the old temp sensor before you replaced it?

If yes - put it back in. (or purchase an OEM sensor and try that)

I put the old CTS back in with a new connector (the old connector was replaced at one time, the wires were corroded near the connector) The fuel pump, Temp and fuel level gages still not working. It wants to start, but cant without fuel being pumped. I am not the best at diagnosing electrical issues.
