V70 2001- Whats the best OBD2 Tool
I am wanting to know what the best OBD II, scan/clear tool is for engine codes.
I have a heap of DTC's stored (went through the Read Button/Fog light twice thing). I am trying to find why my check engine like comes on. Instead of
using a crystal ball to check, I though I would invest in a decent, and decent priced scan tool to do the trick
I see Supercheap sell an acton scan tool. The data sheet says 2002+ onwards for v70 model. But I can't see too much of a change between 2001 & 2002.
-Url for Scan too, so you can have a look at what I am on about.
Actron Auto Scanner, OBD2 & CAN - Supercheap Auto Australia
Yes I have thought about getting VADIS/VIDIS & Dice of Ebay, but something
that's a cheap knockoff doesn't sit right with me.
We picked up the V70 for $500, after a "mechanic" got his hands on it. Central locking wasn't working, and a lot of other things that had to get put back together. I'm placing bets on a faulty HO2 (Lambda Sond) sensor being faulty. But I'd rather have the equipment to check.
Thanks for any info you can give

Yes it works
The one from super cheaper Australia, works like a charm. After clearing 15 stored faults. It finial came down to rear HO2 sensor (after cat). Which I have removed, and it looks like the original one.
On a side note, it was able to clear the Automatic transmission service message as well.
So not to long before I get a road worthy for her
