92 960 intake air temp sensor
where is it located, and could it be causing random misfire in cruise, good under load and idle and starting good. thanks in advance for any replies
For your original question - the intake air temp sensor for the fuel injection is built into the Air mass meter. I would not expect it to create a random misfire - from a lean or incorrect mixture - and your self diagnostic should store codes if so.
If your early 960 misfires or skips at low rpm when driving at a steady speed or a very slight load at low rpms - replace the spark plugs. Had to solve that problem on multiple early 960's years ago - I always only used the factory plugs - from Volvo
