Hello Volvo lovers!

Confession: I have no knowledge of volvos or automobiles for that matter. I am humbly seeking some guidance on selling a 1974 164e. A little back story:

back in 2011, my wife rear ended someone while driving the volvo. We have decided it best to get rid of the car and find her something more practical. I have been dragging my heels on selling it but recently had a guy show some interest, offering $150.

I don't know the full extent of the damage. It seems to be in need of a front clip (i was told this) and maybe a radiator. Again, I know nothing about cars. I can say that the car was in good shape prior to the wreck and doesn't seem to have much other damage under the hood.

Any ideas on the value of something like this? Any help is greatly appreciated. I'll try to post pics and answer questions the best I can.

 

You should post a picture for anyone to be able to help you. At any rate $150 is to low. Metal value alone is around $400. I running 164 would be worth much more in parts alone. Where are you?

Here's the craigslist ad we just put up today. No pic under the hood, I'll try to get that up soon but the bumper was pushed into the battery. Radiator doesn't seem to be damaged but is pushed in as well.

Have you done any research on what one in good condition that's driveable is worth compared to yours ??
