Was about to replace one of my inner tie rods on my 97' 850 Sedan and when I put the new one on (actual volvo part) it would screw in but was a bit loose and my supplier
said that was the only size for that make and model, was it? If it is what happened . Help please

 

I don't know this is your problem, but it should be. There were two rack suppliers, TRW and SMI. The inner tie rods differ, and you're supposed to get the right one. I notice on rockauto some suppliers don't mention which one they fit and some do.
