I have a problem with the ABS,
A3 socker gives me fault code 4-4-3 with indicates
faulty abs pump or electronical fault with the pump, anyone know what to check for first?
i forgot to mention that the car has tracs

 

does the ABS light come on and stay on or does it come on intermittantly then resets to off when you restart the car?

does the ABS work at all - ie if you hard stop on a wet road do you feel any ABS shudder?

the abs light stays on, i have to reset the code to get it away and it comes back when i hit 30km/h when it does a self test, and i havent been driving the car much so i dont know, i tried breaking on gravel and the abs didnt work then, but the light was on aswell during that try. I also had a fault code 4-4-4, but that one dissapered after reset, only the 4-4-3 keeps popping up
