car is a 1983 240 GLT wagon

cant seem to locate an actual kit. found tons of pix, but no actual place to purchase said kit. looking for a lower kit since i have gauges where the upper kit would install too.

Metra 99-9222 turbo kit has the parts you require. I am surprised that you are having trouble locating this kit both locally or online.

would that allow me to install in either the upper or lower area? it says multi-kit, and frmo the 2 pictures, it looks like it has moldings for the upper area (where the gauges are) and lower area(where my stereo was originally)

 

This kit allowed you to install the radio in the upper or lower with the inserts. Up to you how you want to do it, but before you make a decision on a specific radio measure the depth that you have to work with. Good luck.
