well after having our family s80 for about 8 years the radio gave out last week andi was wondering if i could put an aftermarket radio in like an avic-d3 by pioneer but my question is how would i fit this monitor in where the radio was if it doesnt seem to be a fit for the space?

what would you do if you were in my position

 

If you stick anykind of aftermarket radio in the car you will need to have the Dealer download software.
That will tell the car the Radio is no longer a module in the Network of the car.
