Hi, I have a 740 90 wagon twin overheaed cam engine that is real clean and nice except for a bad engine. I havea 240 87 (basic single overhead cam engine) that runs great but is getting rusty. Does anyone know if I can put the 240 engine in the 740? (both are automatics.)

your cross members are different, you'd have to get a sohc cross member and engine mounts/ brackets. your computers will have be be changed (a 89+ sohc non-turbo, is easiest). you'll also have to swap flexplates. a few of the sensor are diffdent (you can swap over), we'll get into that later.
