Question B5244T3 Valve Timing

Hello to everybody,

I'm making full engine rebuild (almost full). And in my inspection on the cylinder heads, I saw on 3 of 5 that have small marks of the valves. Two of the marks are on the intake valve side and one of the exhaust side.
Not sure if this something new or old. I think that I'm the first one to open this engine. But this won't mean that somewhere in the past the belt may or may not slip. When I open it the mark were not visible until i clean it so it could be
something old.

I'm checking the manual that I found here https://workshop-manuals.com/volvo/s...ons/page_5898/

And it seems that there is some adjustment on the wheels see number 2
https://workshop-manuals.com/volvo/s...age-594006.png

It seems that they have to be in the center, my is on one of the sides. Not sure but this is also valid for the other crank (have to check it later today) What is the proper way of aligning everything to the factory state.

I will have to remove the bolts to change the crank seals so I will disassemble them at some point and I want to be sure that will be able to put them so won't have to open the head again

Also, I saw that on the other side the cran have markers that have to be aligned with the block but main are not visible cause there is the crank magnetic sensor for sync. So on that side, I'm not sure how to align them.

Thanks
