Default Timing belt bad ?????

I am trying to help get my Grandsons 1995 850 Turbo back to running condition..
I suspect the timing belt is bad..

I need to know the plug wire assignment for the distributor and want tthe spark plugs.. Just want to verify they are correct.
Then I want to check the timing and need to know what the timing specs are.. I want to see where the timing mark is when we are pointing to Number one on the distributor..(PS where is the timing mark?)
Any help to determine if the timing belt is bad would be appreciated..
Then if it is the belt the procedure to replace same...

There is marks on the upper timing belt cover. Then there is lines on the cam pulleys.
If the wires are OEM they are numbered on the plastic wire holder. Also the cap is numbered.
