Isn't/wasn't that unbelievable?? This forum gets 'spirited' sometimes but I doubt that the intent is to hurt or harm...............it's to get a point across.................later you wonder .....................why???

Tech, that is a good quality to have.

Reg,
Very, very good point. I got 'flamed' on one of the forums just the other day. Also for disagreeing with a 'moderator.' He was not at all moderate. Good thing we have Tech as our moderator.

I think I saw that one. If its the same, you werent the only one....brutal. U cant even have a diff in opinion on something like a subtle wing without somone telling u your car is ugly on that forum.

S60 R not only has a good point, but a good sense of humor as well. Yes, it is difficult (if possible at all) to state your opinion on another forum freely. That is the very beauty of this forum. Reg, you do have to cut down a bit on your use of periods. Otherwise, I will have to insult you, flame you, degrade your self-esteem, criticise you, and even get a moderator to delete your posts! Then, you shall be banned...if you weren't on this forum. Here, we just ask politely.

Tough? Heh. Hardly compared to some of the users on other forums. Just keep the dotting to a minimum, please, as it is hard to read your responses. Commas are alright but out of place if misused.

Default RE: Why is this forum undercrowded?

I'm new to this forum and don't have much experience with other forums, but I'll throw in my two cents. (Hi Tech and Jim)

I've been a Volvo owner for less than two years and probably the main reason I've fallen in luv with them is because, in my opinion, they are the easiest cars to work on yourself. They acutally seem to be engineered with maintenance and repair ease in mind.

Now, when talking to friends, they are of the opinion that volvo owners have big bucks and don't do the repairs themselves.

As far as driving traffic to this site, the only suggestion I can think of is to post links to solutions on THIS site at other forums.

Scott
