Default Wtf????

So I go to log on. I never capitalized before, now I have to to log on. I realize a couple of my posts from earlier today are gone. And there is this new set-up, I guess new software?

Anyway, I click on the volvoforums tab under the top banner and it takes me to a different website,

Yes the new software is case sensitive.

Are you talking about under the S40 way up on top?
I just clicked that and it brought me back here.

Did you have to use caps on everything or just the password?

Yeah I had the same issue for logging in. I never had to cap anything before. I was wondering why I saw others logged on, but I couldn't.

Then I reloaded the browser and searched for the website and saw that a post ofmine my name was capped and so I tried and it worked.

Weird.

Glad to see the forum update happened, but man what a difference so far.

If I click on the Evolve S40 on the top banner it takes me back to this site. But underneath that where it says

"Volvo Forums - Photo Galleries - Create and Account"

if I click on Volvo Forums it takes me to a different Volvo site that I linked. No one else has this happen?

I don't see it once I am logged in. I only see that if I am not logged it.

Default Same here

I too, have noticed the changes and it has become even more difficult to use than before. Even when I'm logged in, sometimes it takes me to VolvoForum (NOT VolvoForums) and says the admin has banned my IP address. Also, I no longer seem to be a moderator, LOL.

My avatar is gone, my profile photo is gone, and I am at a loss right now.

I myself liked the previous format better, except the problems we had. On my window, I no longer have Bolder, Italicise & Underline functions as well as my spell check!!

EDIT: What happened to the "attachment/embed in post" functions!!!??? And now it asks me for Reason for Editing, of course I edit because I WANT TO!!!

Default Found some functions

OK, after a half hour or so of struggle, I got some functions back. Most of them had to be re-activated via my profile page. However, I don't even know how I got to My Profile page, as it had different naming. My photo gallery is gone, which is fine since I was thinking of renewing it.

Some things I found being degraded from the previous format:[/B]

- User friendliness.
- Smaller avatar & profile pic
- Attachment capacity has been reduced WAY DOWN (previously the allocation was 500KB in vehicle specific forum).
- My favourite "tears" & "sunglasses with a tongue" smilies are GONE!!!

I have a feeling that we would be answering questions/confusions from members or ourselves...

This new format definitely needs some getting used to.....What do you all think?

Yes it takes some getting used to but I kind of like it a little better overall.

I agree. It takes some getting used to, but I seem to like it. Much quicker it seems. One question. We used to have a "Posts since last visit" so that a day or a week later, i could catch up. Do we not have that button anymore? If we do, can someone direct me to it? Thanks.

I am not having any trouble at all and have noticed very few problems. But I am a computer guy and I love change. That's why I still have a job. Most users hate changes when they are first made. You guys are just typical users.

Edit: One thing I am noticing is how quick it is now. The slowness was keeping me away.
