1991 Volvo 240 SE won't start
I have a question about my 240. About a month ago, it started being sluggish to start, then finally would not start, I got a new battery, and it fixed the problem. Now, I can only get it to start after it has been sitting all night, so have one opportunity to get where I need to be, and then have to rely on a jump start to get to place #2 (it starts right up with cables). When I am trying to start the car, the radio and lights come on, but there is no cranking noise.
This is the first time I have posted in this forum, please let me know if I did not post in the proper place.
Thanks!

First question is, is the new battery ok? Autozone etc can check it for free. I'm going to assume it is and move on.
It sounds to me like you have a bad connection somewhere. When you/they put the new battery in, did you brush the terminals of the battery and cables? do you have alot of corrosion around the terminal wires that wasn't cleaned off? Are the terminals tight and pressed all the way on? A problem with any of these could cause the symptoms you describe. Good luck!
