1999 Volvo T5
Hi, I am new to the forum. I am considering purchasing a 1999 T5 for my 16 year old son. The car is in decent shape and the price is $6100. Is this a good car and worth the price? I have not owned a Volvo before. I have an Acura RL which I love. One of the reasons for considering the Volvo is the safety (apparently the 99 model has front and side airbags). However, I don't want to go broke with repairs. The check engine lightis on and the current owner said it stays on, buthehas taken it to the dealer and everything checks out fine. The car has 95,000 miles. Theonly other things wrong with the car are the passenger side door lockdoes not lock and the passenger side window switch does not work which is not a big deal because the driver can roll itdown for the passenger if need be. I'm not expecting the car to be perfect since it is 9 years old, but I am just alittle concerned because I've readsome nightmare stories about repair costs. What do you all think? Thanks.
