I have a couple of bad bulbs in my climate control panel in my 2000 V40, and am looking for some direction on how to remove the panel to replace the bad bulbs. I did some research online suggesting the panel can be pried off using a flat screwdriver, but when I tried that method, it felt like the faux wood plastic might break.
Any direction on how to proceed would be appreciated. I attached a picture of my specific panel for your consideration. The panel I would like to remove is the center panel with the three dials and 3 buttons below the dials.
Thanks to your help I was able to pull my climate control panel Hoonk. Two of the three bulbs are bad (see pic). Would you suggest I purchase replacements at the dealer? I don't mind spending a few extra bucks - I just want quality bulbs that will last.
I've used EEuro as as as FCP Euro and IPD USA - all resell genuine Volvo. I also use Tasca Parts who's a Volvo dealer (up here in New England) as they have the best prices on dealer parts - google on that part number ie "Volvo 30612503" and you will find additional dealer web stores.
