Default 2001 C70 Starting Problem

My C70 has developed an intermittent start and die problem; it starts, starts to go to high-idle, then dies. If I cycle the key off and then back on, crank it, cycle off and on again, it will start and promptly die as it hits high idle (cold engine - mostly). When I go through this ritual the third time it usually stays running. Since it is intermittent and a recent development, I'm at a loss. Any suggestions?

Do you have another key you can try?

Also try turning the key on and off a few times before starting it and see if that helps. If it does then for some reason the fuel is bleeding back to the tank.

Default both keys

Have tried with both keys; doesn't seem to have an affect; but will definitely try cycling the fuel pump. Thanks

Default Cycling the pump seems to work

Cycling the pump seems to work; so what do you think?
- fuel pump?
- pressure regulator?
- leaking injector?

Possibly fuel pressure regulator or fuel pump.
