How many miles to drive to make sure codes are cleared?

How many miles to drive to make sure codes are cleared?

I have a 98 v70 turbo awd with 101,000. Got a code cleared and went over 250 miles and it's not showing up yet but do I need to drive 300-400 miles? Any help, will be appreciated THANKS

There's no set mileage of how long it will take to show up again. The OBD computer is fed information from sensors throughout the car, but it takes time for the sensors to check in with the OBD after it's been reset. My car has had a code show up anywhere between 20 miles and 200.
