89' 240 cuts out after it warms up.
I've inheirited a nice looking 89' Volvo240 GL, which was well maintained and driven by my Grandmother. I've recently had problems with the engine cutting out when I starting to drive it. The check engine light came on and it gave me a 1-2-1 code (related to the Mass Air Flow Sensor). I replace the air intake hose, which was worn badly. This didn't resolve the problem, so I purchased a refurbished MAF sensor (OUCH-expensive) and it started driving fine, with no hesitations and no cutting out.
I thought all was fine, but now after I drive for about 1/2 hour, or untilthe engine gets nice and warm, it starts cutting out on me and sometimes stalls, especially after I come to a complete stop. It still drives, but limps home. The check engine light is not coming on, and I am not getting any error code. I don't know where to start looking next for a solution. Can anyone give a list of logical things to check?
Thank you,

RE: 89' 240 cuts out after it warms up.
Hi,
I'm sorry about your problem. I'd like to help you, but I'm a 850 driver and don't know anything about 240, so I couldn't give you an accurate reply.
It would be helpful, however, if you could provide us with a bit more info about the car, such as the type of transmission (auto/manual), when the last tune-up was done,etc...any bit of info would help.
Also, be sure to post your question in the 240 section. People thereshould be able to help youbetter than I could.
Cheers,
JPN
