Any advice is appreciated on getting the sun roof on my Volvo closed. It rained today and made a mighty wet ride home from work. I open the sun roof over the weekend and when I tried to close it all I heard was some type of grinding noise coming from the motor....almost like it was skipping gears.

1.) How can I bypass the motor and close the sun roof?
2.) I'm not sure if the gear or motor are shot or if just the resistance of pulling the roof back in place is too high....can this thing be lubricated up?

Those are a pain to work on it is hard to even explain to you on how to get to most of the stuff to check.
Best to leave it to someone that knows the system.
