Battery hose/tube
I duly searched through 10 pages of posts without finding my issue.
BACKGROUND
My battery has a hose/tube, which I was told functions to drain away waste fluid—as I only dimly remember.
PROBLEM
This hose/tube is not now connected, owing to a new battery install by mechanics to whom this feature is a mystery.
QUESTION
Is this not being connected a serious issue?
If so, I will reconnect.

Not a big deal. I usually do not connect it.
It will only drain off the fluid in the event that the battery malfunctions and boils over. A rare issue that usually happens in OVER CHARGING.
