Hopefully someone can help. I have a 05 volvo s40 and the key fob broke and now I can't get my car to start. I can put the broken piece in the ignition else works but the ignition. They see the lights all the power of turns on, but it's like the ignition morning gauge. I'm thinking you could possibly the chip inside the key fob but not sure. any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

 

A new fob will have to be programmed to the car before it will start - it sound like you'll have to have it towed to the dealer

 

That's what I was afraid. I'm on vacation in Vegas right now too. Oh well I guess. Thank you for getting back to me.
