To buy or not to Buy... 2003 XC70
Hi everyone
New to the forum and wanted some advice on a used Volvo XC70 i have found. Car detail are:
2003 XC70
Mileage: 190,500
Body: Overall good condition with a few (like 4 little scratches)
Interior: Is in great condition, rear seats look new driver seat looks like it only has 50,000 miles on it. Arm rest is in great shape. No normal signs of wear at all.
Price: 3950.00 well under Edmund.com for a dealer as well as private party. Thousands less then Kbb.com and Nada.com.
Drives very well no transmission slippage or hesitation. Engine seems smooth did not notice any leaks or smoke out of the exhaust.
I am weary of the mileage it has only had two owners. One was a lease for almost 3yrs. The second owned for 5 years and put 140,000 miles on it lived in West Virgina. (did not see excesses salt damage on the undercarriage).
So is it a good deal or am I about to get ripped off?

If possible, I would have the car inspected by a fully-certified ASE Master Technician to see how he/she thinks.
For a car with the age & mileage, I would expect a few major servicings may be needed (around $1,000-$2,000, which is not uncommon for used cars with such age & mileage unless if taken care of by a person like Tech).
Also, see if the car has full maintenance record and know what have (haven't) been done to it.
Lastly, see if all the recalls have already been taken care of:

Good luck,
