Default Cracked Valve Cover

I have a 2013 S60 and I discovered I have a cracked valve cover. First, I didn’t think these could crack and second, can I drive to have it repaired or should I have it towed? Thanks.

This is weird.

which engine? that's the engine's "appearance cover". You're not leaking oil or anything right? Did you try removing it to see if anything else is damaged?

Default Cracked Engine Cover

It is the T5. I have not gotten any leaks that I can tell. The low coolant light is the only thing that has happened. What do you think? The piece is only $50.00 to replace. It couldn’t be much important from the cost. This has worried me a great deal.

thats a trim piece to cover the coils/spark plugs etc. Its not a "valve cover" in the sense of an old school V8. What needs to be looked into is why your coolant level is down. Could be a small leak in a hose etc. Also you should be doing a coolant refresh every 5 years so if that hasn't been done for your car yet, you can have the shop do a pressure test to see if there's a slow leak to address, then refresh the coolant.
