So I have a paint chip on the rear bumper of my volvo about the size of a dime. I've watched some videos on how to repair it, and these are the steps I've come up with:

0. Purchase Volvo OEM silver metallic paint and clear coat (about $18)
1. Place masking tape around paint chip
2. Wipe area with primer
3. Carefully apply OEM silver metallic paint
4. Let dry
5. Carefully apply clear coat
6. Let dry

Am I missing something here? I know it won't be perfect, but I'm worried the area will rust if I don't apply something soon. Thanks!
