OK. I've got one for the Volvo experts. I was driving in the rain yesterday, and all of a sudden the wiper on the driver side went past the normal stopping area, off the side of the windshield resting on the pillar, and that's where it stayed. I can move it back and forth by hand with no resistance. So I pushed it back down to normal off position. The passenger side works fine, but the driver side just stays where I put it. Any clues??? Thanks

 

Tighten the nut that holds the arm to the wiper transmission assembly.You will need a 13mm wrench.Set it to the down position like the passenger side and tighten the nut.

 

Thanks Tech! How stupid of me not to check first. Of course, driving in the rain with no wiper you think the worst. When I got home yesterday, I checked and found the nut was lose. Glad it was that simple.
