Hi! I have a Volvo V70 from january 2000 (2,4 140HP), and after i put in a new battery recently, the ETS lamp and the engine lamp has turned on. The engine runs as smooth and quiet as ever, so there are no problems, but I can't find a way to turn off those lamps. I would like to do it my self, rather than paying a garage to do it, but can I???

 

You need access to an OBD2 code scanner to view then clear the stored fault codes. Some shops will do that for free and some auto parts stores will rent out the code readers but that all depends where you are located.
