Well I have a bunch of questions to ask you guys .
Come tax season I am going to pick up another Volvo for myself my price rang cap is 1500.
Here are my choices first is a 245 , 745, or 850 wagon
Yes I want a wagon not a sedan .
If I did a 245 would it be possible to install a later model 5 cyl turbo ?
Same if I did a 745 .
My last option is the 850 wagon .
My other major question is which on it there more after market parts for ?
I would prefer a manual but will be ok with a auto .
I do understand installing another engine I would run a stand a lone ECU like Mega squrit

 

Sure you can run a white block in a 240. Takes a lot of work but has been done several times. Honestly, it's easier to drop a V8 in a 240 than modify a white block. If it is to be a daily driver, I'd look at a late model 960 wagon but if it's to be a play/project car then the sky is the limit. Search turbobricks.com for white block swaps.

 

Well i found one at work and I am going to see how much they want for it . I found a 745 Turbo .

 

If your budget for the purchase is $1,500, I doubt you'll be spending a lot of money in mods. Get the 745 turbo or a 855 turbo. They can be hand in running condition for that price but they will need a lot of maintenance.
