Default Going to HID

The time has come where I'm comtemplating whether to go the HID route or just buy the PIAA Xtreme H7.

IfI dogo HID, how easy is it togo back to stock halogens?

Once the HID's are in, will I be able to adjust the aim with the stock headlight adjusters?

1. PIAA Xtreme H7's are a waste of money. Do not buy them.

2. If you want to go back to stock Halogens you can remove the HID's, it will just take the same amount of time it takes to install.

3. Yes you can aim and adjust your headlights with the stock adjusters with HID's, in fact I recommend you do reaim them. In fact if you cannot get it right take it to a local shop and have them do it. Should cost $20 to do.

Also get your HID's from SharpHID.com and John will take good care of you.

Sounds good. Only thing is my 98 Volvo has the glass encased headlight assembly. Don't know if that will be ok for HID's. I only want to have brighter lights on the car. The Silvania Silverstars have been on my car now for almost 2yrs now and I'm feeling like they are getting dim or maybe it's my imagination.

That would be?

Your headlights will be fine.

Well, maybe controversy is not the right word.Debate I guess. How some say that retrofitting to HID is useless unless you change out the entire headlight assembly to one that is made for HID. That without these assemblies for HID it'd be illegal. I'm just really on the fence regarding this subject.

Do what you please, but plenty of people have them in their stock headlights.

850's, 70 series, 60 series, 80 series....

I think the 60 and 80 series Volvo shouldn't have much problems as they havethe clear plastic headlight housings which the HID's will look good in. But the 850 and most 70's unfortunately have the glass assemblies. Unless I get my hands on a newer c70 headlight assembly that is clear plastic and will fit my car.

Yes, what else would they be? These are all Volvo owners that got HID's from SharpHID.

I know there are plastic lenses, but all lenses from the factory OEM are glass.

They do look nice from the outside...what aboutthe other way around? I wanna see the road and it's my understanding that these glass assemblies will "diffuse" the light coming from them.
