hard starting
almost done putting motor in XCV70 2.4 turbo, new platinum plugs, good coil packs, new fuel injectors, new fuel filter, fresh gas. runs smooth, but has to crank over a lot to start. My crankshaft sensor is not tight, bolt stripped, could that be the cause, or what else should I look at. I cleaned the throttle body before I installed it. thank you.
It could be a weak regulator. Have you tried to get a fuel pressure gauge and get a reading ??
Have you checked the vacuum line at the regulator to see if the regulators nipple seeps fuel or the vac hose has a strong smell of fuel indicating a ripped diaphragm in the regulator ??
