Hate Messy Mechanics
So I was doing my routine checks on oil and other things when I notice a cigarette bud in my engine bay next to a bunch of pipes with foam insulation near the right strut tower. Normally I would never have looked there, but I had flashlight today and just happened to point towards that area. It appears to be partially melted to the foam, my guess is it was still lit when it fell down into the engine bay. This car was only worked on by me or the dealer, so it's definitely not me since I think smoking is disgusting. I just can't believe that they can be so careless and smoking around people's cars that they are working on. It could have caught the car on fire if that cigarette had landed in something more flammable. The good thing is that I have done most of the work on my car for the past five years that I owned it and has been a good four years at least since they did anything in the engine bay.

Dang, they likely set it on the car and it rolled and landed where you found it. They probably never missed it.
When I was in Japan, I purchased a 740 GLE. When I took the car in for a service or repair they would actually clean the car before they gave it back to me. Never had oil finger prints on the finder, hood and worse of all... steering wheel.
