Default Heavy exhaust smoke 2008 S60 2.5T

I have a 2008 Volvo S60 that has heavy white smoke from exhaust, car runs fine and I hear the turbo spool up and it has good power, I’ve read that it could possibly be the PCV system. Could this cause heavy smoke?

Thanks!

usually with smoke, you need to determine if its oil or coolant. Generally coolant is white with a sweet smell, oil is blue or grayish blue. Do you know which you are consuming? If you are consuming coolant, its most likely a failed head gasket or possibly a turbo seal. oil can be a head gasket, rings, valve seals, turbo seals.

The PCV system does take crankcase gasses and runs them through an oil separator (aka flame trap) and then vents it back into the intake so you could see if your intake path is oil covered. most cases the PCV system just clogs up and you have too much pressure which blows out seals but that wouldn't push oil into the intake generally
