Dear Fellow Volvo owners. I went to get a break tag and it failed because of the left (passenger) headlight was not working. The associated mechanic shop replaced the headlight and it still does not work. They said $70 to diagnose it and $70 for each hour to repair it. I don't have that kind of deep-pocket money. After to the dealership visit to the parts department, they suggested that the wire socket that connects the bulb to the three prong wire set corrodes and that is the most likely fix part $30-40.00. I went home and inspected the plug to the bulb and it was like new, not rusted or corroded. Does anyone know an easy or hard how to detect the problem and fix the light? It is time sensitive as the temporary tag expires in 15 days from today?
Most sincerely,
Richard Schmidt
