As the title states...how many miles you got on your Volvo. Odometer pics would be nice. I've got a little shy of 305,000 miles on my '89 740 B230F Wagon. I'll get a pic up later today.

 

Well, I predict you're gonna have a problem with your survey, mainly because most all of the odometers on the RWD Volvos crap out LONG before 305,000. The odometer in my '91 745T has been stopped at 251,740 for a couple of years now, and it worked only intermittently before that. I fixed the odometer in my '89 245 with a $40 repair kit from IPD (consisting of a plastic gear and a DVD showing how to install it) , so now I'm starting to count miles from 108,429 on a 21 year old car that's been driven all but the last year or so, since it was new.

 

Wow. I did not know that. I guess I should consider myself fortunate, 'eh? Car still runs and drives great, too.

 

My 740 GLE kept the odometer working over 400,000. I guess I didn't reset the trip that often. I'm not sure if that helps or not. My 850 stopped at 102,###. I got the gear from ipd and was surprised how small the thing is. I'm going to replace it and set it to the OBD-I port reading so it will be correct.

 

91 940gle 105,000 klms.
96 850s 197,000 klms.
both can be verified with log books or personal records........
