Default Just picked up a turbo 940.................

Hello everyone, I just purchased a 1994 940 Turbo Wagon, and I would like to upgrade the turbo to a larger one as well as installing an intercooler, can someone suggest a good vendor. Thanks in advance, Nelson.

Ok...If your car is stock you can upgrade to the 15G turbo off of a 850 turbo. It will have to be clocked before you install. That turbo would work well and should be a direct replacement for the stock 13C.

IF you want to go crazy, then get a T3/T4 turbo from ATPturbos. You will have to machine the exhaust housing flat and open it up to fit the T3, but it will work.

Now you will want to get an exhaust to match the turbo you choose.
If you get a T3/T4, then you will want to drop in 40+lb injectors for high boost.

Why install a larger turbo? Chips, 14psi, 2.5" exhaust and you will have a fun car. It'll be in the top 20% of cars you will encounter daily for acceleration. The stock turbocharger has a fair bit of headroom.
The car already has a very decent intercooler in the front. Spend your money on things that will make a noticeable difference first.

Regards, Andrew.
