I am brand new to the forum as well as Volvos. I am looking to buy my wife a used Volvo. Mid 2000's model..... may a S-60. $4k to $7k. Any advice or recommendations. Looking for fuel mileage and dependability. Which motor? 1.9, 2.4, 2.5, 2.9? Turbo or not?

I'd try to purchase a post '04 car. Also, the turbo's are fine as long as the oil has been changed and the thing has not been abused. Have the car checked out by a Volvo mechanic and see if they have any service records.
