Looking to Purchase 2009 C70
Hi All - I currently own a 2003 V70 which I'm giving to my son. I'm looking at a 2009 C70 with 74,000m at a local used car dealer (not a Volvo dealership). I know Ford owned Volvo during this production time and was wondering if anyone has specific concerns or issues with this model/production year.
Any advice/experience you could share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,
I owned a 2006 V50 so there shouldn't be many differences in the two models (other users please correct me if I'm wrong).
I don't know much about C70's but I know that the V50, S40, C30 and C70 shared many parts. For 74000 miles the front control arms should've been replaced as I had them replaced at 88000km (roughly 54000 miles) on my V50. You might also want to make sure that the roof actually folds down/up as I've seen many people having problems with their roof. Other than that the C70 is a pretty solid car.
Don't forget to check whether the breather box has been replaced (about $600AUD to replace). Past service records would be good to look at if available.
Let us know if you have any more questions!
