Model V 60
I lost one of the key bobs to my car. besides paying a dealer ( Borton in Minneapolis) $400. for a new one. Is there any other alturnitve in getting a new on?

Sorry - no not really. You can mess around with ebay stuff, but in the end the only way to get a new key to work - is using VIDA to tell the new key to accept the signal from the new key. And who controls VIDA?
Sure you can purchase an Ebay "key" for 40% of what volvo wants and that key will not come with a precut emergency key. But after that who will you get to "program" your car (using VIDA) to tell the car to let that key work?
This guy - did have keys remotely "programmed". But he did have a Dice unit and I'm sure the "remote programmer" had purchased a VIDA subscription to be able to do this and simply remoted into his computer (and Dice unit).
