Nav package voice commands

Nav package voice commands
I have a new 2012 S60 6 cylinder with all the bells and whistles. I am in love! But I'm surprised by the limitations of the voice commands. It works beautifully for GPS and phone. But that's all it does. My husband has a 2006 Lexus 400h and you can change the radio, the climate package...just about scratch your backside in his car with voice commands.
When I save a destination, I can enter a voice tag. So...why can't I say:
"Navigation...Go To...Home"??
Am I missing something?
I also find it difficult to find my stored destinations. I have to completely cancel the guidance program, and then re-enter it in order to have "stored destinations" come up as an option. Not very good to do while driving! I can find "previous destinations"...but not my favorites.
Again, am I missing something here?
Thanks
Diane

People who design these things do not necessarily think of everything someone might want.
With that said, you have good suggestions. I would write a letter to Volvo US and also send a copy to your dealer. Tell them what you want to be able to do.
I recently had the latest version of this software installed in my 2012 Volvo. There were changes and fixes in the new version which were there because some customers complained or told them about problems.
The squeaky wheel gets the grease!
