new heater, but no heat?

I just put a new heater core in my 96 Volvo 850 but its not putting out heat and the hoses aren't kinked or nothing? Any ideas?

Two things:

Post in the 850 section
Is your temp gauge indicating the engine is warming up to normal operating temperature? If not (stays cold) then you need a thermostat.

BTW: why did you replace the heater core?
