Default 850 heater no heat to floor

My heater works well through dash vents, but around the foot control area I'm getting a cool draft. I haven't gotten in there to investigate. There must be a baffle door or something on the vent duct that's not operating properly; the question is Why? There are multiple sensors and 2 damper motors in this system, but how can they be accessed?

Online manual indicates a fault code. I'll check for that, but the code index groups the floor and defroster together; my defroster works fine. Could it be something in the ECC module, but everything else works - just no heat by driver's side feet.

Thanks for any clues,
Cold Feet

See attached for possible suspect.

Once in a blue moon those damper motors seem to get stuck. You could also try resetting the system to see if it fixes itself, but this may only be possible for 1993-1995 models.

Wait for others’ opinions as well.
