Default O2 sensor needs replacing

Hi everyone! I'm hoping someone can help. I have an '05 V50 and the check engine light came on. I stopped at the local auto parts store for the reading and they said it is an O2 sensor in bank 1 which they said is on top of the engine as opposed to under the car. This is where I need your help...

...has anyone replaced this on their own? Is it an easy fix? Is their a cheaper alternative to the $200 Bosch part they suggested? Please let me know.

I don't see why not. I replaced one on my '95 850. I did it with a used one from a junk yard. I would buy one from the dealer or from another Volvo, not an aftermarket one.
