I am about to receive a settlement from an accident that accoured one year ago..... I do still suffer from it, but the insurance company doesn't want to continue the treatment.
However, as lowest settlement I will recieve is approx. USD 30k.

I am debating between two models .... S60R AWD from 2005 or an S80 4.4l AWD from the same year. Interesting after talking with one of the major dealers on the westcoast both cars come out very close the same price.

My local dealer doesn't have any of the models available for test drive..... which creates a secondary problem.
Which one would you choose?

In my work I drive closer to 20000 miles per year, so comfort combined with good performance are my keys.
As of today I drive an 1998 Volvo V70 AWD slightly trimmed.

 

S60! If it's the R...I'd definately go with the S60. Though the R offers the most comfort of the S60 line...the S80 is geared towards luxury.

 

s80 hands down - pure luxury

its like would you choose camry or avalon, altima or maxima , its the next logical step up

 

I have a 1998 V70 myself. The newer Volvo models don't compare as far as reliability goes, but either of those cars are similar as far as issues go. As long as the S60 R was not whooped on, it should be fine.

Listen to me, a guy driving a Geo telling someone what Volvo to get.

 

I would mod the V70 since it should be reliable as heck and pocket the rest, BUT if I had to choose from the 2 mentioned hands down the S60R. S80's seem not the best reliable car. They are great lookers and super luxurious but seems that a lot of them have issues!

 

The R
