I recently found a nice condition 51 plate v70 est 2.4 petrol, with 84000 miles on the clock, it does everything i ask but has a rather embarassing fault. Everytime i use kick down a huge puff of smoke appears at the back end of the car with a stong smell of burning oil. I dont think its from the engine as the car does not use oil at all.
Has any one else experianced this i am concerned and thinking of part exing the car for something else although i do like and enjoy all other aspects of this car.

 

Maybe the vent system is clogged causing the smoke.

 

What is the colour of the smoke?

Light blue: Oil
Black/dark grey: Fuel (gasoline)
White: Common moisture appearance/coolant leakage
Red: RUN!!!

The mileage is low and unless the previous owner never changed oil, I would assume what Tech says.

Any evidence of leak after being parked overnight?
