Question puff of white smoke at cold start

I have just purchased a '98 V70XC with 160k miles. I am having the cam and crank seals replaced (due to a small oil leak) and a new timing belt installed later this week. The car, ONLY at a "cold" start, puffs a small amount of white smoke, which clears right up. The car's check engine light is throwing a P0108 code, which I believe is for a rear sensor.
The abs/tracs lights are on, so I am sending the unit off to have it rebuilt.

Anyway...to make a long story a little bit shorter, the compression is good, car runs great, no odd noises, etc., so is the "puff" of smoke I spoke of something I can treat with some sort of additive, or is it possible that the smoke has something to do with the oil leak I am about to have fixed, or........???????

Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

I assume you are meaning the box that the air filter sits in? If so, what all do I need to check to make sure it is unclogged??

No that is not what I mean. The crank case vent system box. Also known as an oil seperator.
