Currently as it stands all I have ever owned is p80’s. I’ve had a few 850’s & currently a NA manual s70. I recently bought a 93’ 940 turbo from a one owner grandmother who could no longer drive it. It’s in immaculate condition other than the ‘high’ milage (252k)
It was consistently maintained by the son who is a renounce local Volvo mechanic w/ proper paperwork documentation.
As it stands I have installed 440cc s60r injectors (green bosche,) 960 3” MAF, Spark plugs in the heat range of 6 for a lawn mower, A manual boost controller set to 15psi on a 13c, and finally an accumulator mod for the aw-71 so it slows the blowing up process as well as only running high octane premium w/ 6-8oz of octane booster to reduce spark knock.
Now for my question - I have a rebuild 18T and a dream. I am seeking advice for parts I need to buy, and smaller possible upgrades to help up the horsepower.
I plan on m47 swapping it, or t5 depending on which is easier to consistently get parts for as well as turbo cam/cam adjusters & 3” custom exhaust.
As the car stands from stock it has LH-2.4, Thick 13mm Rods, Squirter Block, and a fair few other goodies.
My reasoning for coming here is minor competition. My older sibling has a 91’ 740 Turbo w/ a 16T pushing 20~ psi with similar mods but LH-2.2, he makes 250whp on the dyno and has every weight reduction imaginable (interior delete, dash delete, & roof delete for truck activities.)
