Hi everyone,


I just paid the dealer $250+ for a spare key & remote, and it worked about a week. Then I had to get closer & closer to the car for it to work. I assumed the battery to be going bad, so I replaced with the same type - and now, nothing. I tried the ignition switching 5 times and pressing the lock button on the remote, but to no avail. I'll be calling the dealer back and hopefully they'll do it for free since it was so recent. But would appreciate if anyone has comments on just replacing a battery in the remote. I wouldn't think this would require a whole new programming at the dealer...

Is it the switch blade type remote or is it a separate remote from the key?
