My S70 stalls. It was fine. But It stalls bad. What may have caused it? Can it be a gas line to one of the injector? or an ignition coil. Althoough I heard a lot about stalling on S70, but it was the first time I experienced on my 2000, S70. can anyone help please?

 

Is the check engine light on?

 

I just started having this problem tonight. My Check Engine light went on and whenever I come to a complete stop, my engine feels like it's going to stall out and the rpms drop to about 500.

Also, my fan stays on constantly whenever the car is running so I just unplugged it. My engine barely even registers any heat in this 20 degree weather!

What year is it?

 

It's a 1999 S70 Base. As of yesterday, the stalling problem went away until later at night when it started again. Also, my check engine light turned off.

 

I think it was water in your gas, if it comes back again I would check the ignition coils. If you noticed I had almost the same problem. I kept on switching the coils on the different cylender until I found the bad one. When I replaced it with a new one then it ran like a dream and help the gas milage as well.
